SatSure
SatSure (Bengaluru) is a geospatial data analytics company that fuses satellite imagery with AI to deliver decision intelligence for sectors like agriculture, banking & finance, and infrastructure. SatSure’s platform leverages insights from Earth-observation satellites (both its own planned satellites and third-party imagery) to help, for example, banks assess crop yields for loans or insurers evaluate disaster damage remotely. The company is vertically integrating: it not only provides analytics software but is also launching a fleet of four high-resolution optical satellites by 2025 to augment its data pipeline. SatSure’s services have already been used for monitoring millions of farm loans in India (tracking crop health via satellite) and for power utility asset monitoring.
SatSure Sparta - an analytics platform for agricultural credit risk, which uses satellite data to help banks and insurers make informed decisions (e.g. crop loan underwriting,drought assessment).
SatSure SAGE - a geospatial intelligence product for infrastructure and utility companies to monitor assets (like transmission lines or mines) using frequent satellite scans.
Constellation - SatSure is building its own small satellites (in collaboration with Pixxel for launches) to get dedicated imagery (sub-meter resolution) for its analytics. By combining satellite imagery with IoT and ground data, SatSure provides “Decision as a Service” solutions - for instance, an agritech solution to predict crop yields or a fintech tool for financial inclusion.
Meet the Team
Founders
Prateep Basu (Co-founder & CEO), Abhishek Raju (Co-founder, Strategy), Rashmit Singh Sukhmani (Co-founder & CTO), and Ishan Tomar (Co-founder, Engineering). Prateep is an ex-ISRO engineer who worked on remote sensing missions; he leads SatSure’s vision. Abhishek and Ishan bring geospatial tech expertise (Ishan is ex-GE UAV division), and Rashmit (CTO) leads software development. The diverse founding team’s experience (ISRO, defense mapping, finance) shaped SatSure’s cross-domain approach
Other Team Members
Sharad Sanghi (ex-CEO, NTT India) is an independent director guiding enterprise strategy. Post Series A, Rajan Anandan (Sequoia/Peak XV) joined as an advisor to help SatSure’s global expansion. SatSure’s investors include Omidyar Network India and Asian Development Bank Ventures, reflecting confidence in its impact on financial inclusion.
