Skyroot Aerospace
Skyroot Aerospace is a Hyderabad-based startup developing the Vikram series of small satellite launch vehicles, aiming to make space launches more affordable. In November 2022, Skyroot made history with Vikram-S, the first privately built Indian rocket to reach space. The company designs and tests multiple in-house rocket engines (like the 3D-printed Dhawan-II and Kalam-5 solid motor) to power its orbital rockets. Skyroot has an MoU with ISRO for using facilities and 3 expertise, accelerating its launch vehicle development
Launch vehicles (Vikram I, II, III) for payloads up to 300–500 kg to Low Earth Orbit. Skyroot provides end-to-end launch services for small satellites, including mission planning and integration. The Vikram-I rocket’s maiden orbital launch is planned next, following the successful sub-orbital flight of Vikram-S
